Mini-Background on my obsession with the Head Designer of the House of Chanel: A few years ago, Mr. Lagerfeld was in an interview with Vanity Fair. As the last question after a series of lengthy answers, the interviewer asked Mr. Lagerfeld ‘what is the mantra that you live by?’ Instead of another hefty response, Karl simply responded: “There is no later, there is only now.” A phrase that resonated with me on a really deep level. I have always, always been a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants-and-see-where-the-wind-takes-me kind of girl, so this just sort of summed up…me.

That phrase was all over my everything; my g-chat status (I just put it back.), my favorite facebook quote (in fact, I think it’s still the only one up there), and it’s even hidden in a few of my paintings.

So this, my friends, is how I became obsessed with Mr. Karl Lagerfeld.

You know that question people always ask, “If you could have dinner with five living people, who would it be?” He would definitely be on there. Quickly followed by Lebron James, Barack Obama, Blake Griffin, and [spot yet to be filled - but I am thinking Richard Branson.]
